SAPOA has launched its 2007 Property Research Yearbook, an information resource for the commercial and industrial property industry.
Launched at the University of the Witwatersrand this month, the research yearbook features a collection of market research into local and international property markets.
Commercial property association Sapoa says the launch of the book also marks the culmination of a three-year initiative by Sapoa and the Investment Property Databank (IPD). The 322-page book is almost double the size of last year’s inaugural yearbook.
“We believe it will prove a valuable tool for universities, as well as fund managers and asset managers — in fact, anyone who invests in property and real estate,” says Kelly Clinton, chairman of Sapoa’s research committee.
Stan Garrun, MD of IPD SA and the yearbook project manager, says the key motivation behind the book is to publish a quality collection of important research topics that will benefit decision makers.
The yearbook consists of SA-focused, as well as international, material generated by a host of contributors from around the globe, ranging from academics and researchers to real estate experts, property economists and financiers.
