Sandton will soon boast a new R800-million office development — in addition to the billions worth of construction taking shape in one of the country’s busiest business districts. This week Barrow Properties announced the start of work on the state-of-the-art office development in the heart of the Sandton business district. The development is situated within metres of the Gautrain terminus and bus route. Barrow Properties director Paul Barrow said: “We have had tremendous interest in the development, underlining the fact that correctly conceptualised developments strike a responsive chord, irrespective of the business climate.” Dubbed 114 West Street, the development is a joint venture between Barrow Properties, Group Five and Amabubesi Properties, the property development division of the Amabubesi Group. “The development is an endorsement of the confidence the joint venture has in the future prospects of SA and the Sandton area in particular,” said Barrow.
