A Cape based company that manufactures wooden windows and doors has signed a five-year lease and moved into 3,000sq m of space at an industrial park being developed in the Paarl area.
Daryl Sher, development manager for this project, said that, as with most tenants here, Madison had to complete a comprehensive installation to Xylo Design's requirements.
Sher said the internal fitouts and upgrades handled so far have been complemented by extensive landscaping, water, light and electricity services, road works, perimeter security arrangements including electrification on top of the security fences and CCTV, all of which are now complete.
"Right now, we are negotiating with a single tenant to take 8,500sq m of the approximately 18,000sq m that still remains to be let. We expect that the entire 36,500sq m in the park to be signed for by the last quarter of 2008," said Paul Scop, Madison Leasing Executive.
