Asrin's new property development in Maitland has been well received with reservations to the value of R105m done to date. Asrin Property Developers' launch of the R130m development, Epic Business Park in Maitland has been well received. The development is a joint venture with Land Equity, a Stuart Chait company.
Shiraaz Hassan, Asrin's marketing and sales manager, said that they have had over 120 enquiries. To date 80% (12 800m2) of phase one with a value of R105m has been reserved.
The size of the units, 250m2 to 350m2, is exactly what the smaller entrepreneurs, now tired of paying for rental premises want. Priced at R8,200/m2 this is competitive in the fast expanding industrial market, said Hassan.
The development attracts investors and the majority of buyers are owner occupiers, particularly firms working in the light industrial field.
Hassan said several buyers have revealed that a major attraction of the site is its position in relation to the N1, the N2, the M5, the city and the harbour. Other buyers have taken the offer as they find the architectural design attractive.
