Healthy start in 2012 for Sokolic Property Group
2012-01-09 · Company News
So far 2012 is only a few working days old and we are already seeing a bouyant mood in the commercial leasing arena. Compared to last year we have already seen an increase in enquiries and activity of over 30%. In the first week of 2011 we had recieved 66 enquiries to this date. So far in January 2012 we have had 90 enquiries at the time of writing this. The majority of these enquiries are for large scale industrial users, with small retail operations making up the bulk of the balance.
With this in mind we are certainly in an upbeat mood with regards to how things will go in 2012. With the housing market and to a large degree the commercial property market undergoing a general stagnation, we naturally expect to see an increase in rental enquiries, and as the doom and gloom still sits squarely on the property markets (sales) shoulders, this trend is increasing.
Our challenge as brokers this year is to make sure we service these enquiries to the best of our ability and our focus also remains on building quality company to company relationships, with a view to working together with other brokerages to remain on top of the pile.
Commercial Property Marketing in general is predicted to move once more even further down the path of digital marketing and we believe we are well placed with our generic commercial property portal to make full use of this trend.
www.commercial-property.co.za continues to be a great success story for us, and this year we are keen to extend this marketing platform for use to our partners and affiliated companies.
We have successfully concluded our first couple of property transaction this year and a running start bodes well for the future.
Joe Sokolic CEO, Sokolic Property Group.
