ApexHi sells city property
2007-01-17 · Company News
Listed property loan stock company ApexHi has sold 11 Diagonal Street, its iconic "diamond building" in Johannesburg, to Absa for R104 million. The building is currently occupied by AngloGold.
ApexHi is also selling the West Street Parkade to Absa for R20 million to provide additional parking for the users of the 32 600m2 11 Diagonal Street building.
Gerald Leissner, ApexHi's chief executive, said yesterday the disposal of 11 Diagonal Street was in line with ApexHi's view that the inner city was no longer a viable option for commercial office tenants.
